The Stinger 4 is an addition to the hugely successful Stinger Nitrous Plate lineup and is based on the same ideology that nitrous plates are not one-size-fits-all. It is designed to work with engine combinations that have airflow distribution issues and also have intake manifolds with a taller wall height between the top of the intake runner to the carburetor flange.
The Stinger 4 is a single-entry nitrous plate that provides a max flow of 644hp. At a glance, the Stinger 4 is very similar to the Stinger 2 - however, the nitrous and fuel discharge port locations have been swapped. The nitrous discharge ports are on top and discharge at a 20° angle towards the corner intake runners and a 30° angle towards the center intake runners. With the nitrous on top, it sprays down in to the horizontal fuel discharge. On the proper intake, the mixture would contact the base of the plenum wall, just above the port entry. Engine airflow then pulls the mixture into runner, allowing each cylinder to ingest what it wants.
The 4150 plate and cone are manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum. The nitrous plate is .75” thick and black anodized with engraved Nitrous Outlet logos and Fuel / N2O entry marking. The cone is anodized red and features 16 nitrous discharge holes and 16 fuel discharge holes. Premium gaskets are included as well as Jetting for 50-100-150-200-250-300-350-400-450-500-550-600 horsepower shots. This is a race solenoid forward plate conversion and utilizes a .178 nitrous solenoid. This solenoids-forward conversion comes with our Deep Break Solenoid Bracket and pre-bent hardline for the cleanest installation around.
The Stinger 4 is designed to saturate 4150 flange single plane intake plenums with a 360° downward angle discharge pattern that will not interrupt airflow into the intake plenum. We suggest using the Stinger 4 plate with intake manifolds that measure 1 3/4” or more from the top of the intake runner to the flange. This plate is compatible with carburetion or EFI! Be sure to measure for boomerang bracket to distributor clearance using the dimensional image above.
