Solenoid Operation:
A 3/2 valve for a solenoid refers to a valve with three ports and two positions, it works as follows:

1. Ports:
   
   • 3 ports are typically labeled as:
     • Port 1 (P): Pressure supply port.
     • Port 2 (A): Output port.
     • Port 3 (B): Exhaust or return port.
2. Positions:
   
   • 2 positions: The valve can be in one of two states:
     • Position 1: Solenoid energized (activated), allowing flow between certain ports (for example, from P to A, and B to exhaust).
     • Position 2: Solenoid de-energized (inactive), switching the flow to connect different ports (for example, from P to B, and A to exhaust).

Basic Function:

In a 3/2 solenoid valve, the solenoid controls the flow of air (or another fluid) between these ports. For example, it might direct the pressure from port 1 to port 2 when energized, and when de-energized, it switches to direct pressure from port 1 to port 3, while port 2 exhausts.
