Ride of The Week 08/19/2019 - Mark Canchola

This weeks Ride of The Week winner is Mark Canchola!  He is a Manufacturing Technician who races a 2012 3.7 V6 Ford Mustang named “The Lame V6”.  Mark has loved Mustangs since he was a kid, and when the time came to look for a new daily driver that was fun and fit his needs, the Mustang was an ideal candidate. He has been changing up the car over the last 3 years and when asked what he liked most about his car he said, “I just love how unique it is, there aren’t many V6 Mustangs out there running at 10.1 @ 135mph - and it’s the fastest factory sealed 3.7 in the world!”.  Mark’s Mustang is powered by the factory 3.7 V6 combined with a JMP single turbo kit and a 50 shot of nitrous through our V6 Mustang plate system to make 647whp and 614ftlbs at the tire. That power is then transferred through the factory 6R80 transmission and then down his Driveshaft Shop 1-piece aluminum driveshaft and into his Ford 8.8 rear end. Finally, that power will hit his Mickey Thompson ET Street Pros and send him down the ¼ mile in a quick 10 second pass. His Mustang isn’t your average V6!  He competes in the Pro Class at the NHRA Summit Series at his local track in Phoenix, Arizona as well as the 10.0 index when it comes to index racing.
