This weeks ride of the week winner is Connor Perfumo-Smith, you may recognize him as he has won before! Connor drives a 2014 Mustang GT and is going after the stick shift nitrous coyote record! Connor first got into cars and racing through a friend of his in high school who had a ’93 Mustang 5.0. They would take it out on the weekends and go cruise around with people in the local car scene. Once Connor moved to Arizona in 2015 the racing bug began to bite him hard. Warren, a close friend of his, took him out to the track for the first time and showed him a few things. After he had it down it was time to go racing. Connor then signed up to race in his first ever event which was a “No Prep” style event and would compete in the “Outlaw Street-Car Class”, he ended up winning his class and after that he was hooked! He kept going to more and more events and kept placing either 1st or 2nd, its safe to say Connor had found his new favorite hobby. After racing about a year he got introduced to Rudd Performance Motorsports and American Outlaw Designs who helped him push the car further than he would have been able to do on his own! Connor’s Mustang is now powered by a Nitrous Outlet system spraying a 200 shot into his 5-liter coyote motor. That power is then transferred through his MT82 6-speed transmission and into his Eaton differential and out through his Mickey Thompson ET Drag Bias Plys. He has completed a 15inch conversion on his mustang to fit the most tire possible under his car as well as some BMR suspension components to keep the car going straight. At the time of writing this article the best time is a 10.6 at 129.5 MPH and he is not stopping there!
